Journey from south of the island to Loro Parque up the east coast was fine except driver chose to drive through Puerto de la Cruz rather than continuing on the motorway and entering Loro Parque from the far end of Puerto de la Cruz which added time to the journey unnecessarily. The return journey was a bit scary with the narrow winding roads with sheer drops due to driver returning down the west coast. Unfortunately we had to climb narrow winding roads before descending again into the west coastal road. Definitely not a route for the faint hearted or anyone with vertigo. Driver was excellent at navigating the tight bends but personally, I’d have preferred returning via the east coast.

That was a good trip
We booked a trip to Siam Park with transfers. The pick up point given to us seems to be used by a number of travel services so was utter chaos and really confusing. To add to this our details seemed to have been wrong so the guide had that we were staying and being picked up from a hotel that I had not heard of. Luckily the pick up was before our actual pick up otherwise we could easily have been missed. Timings were also delayed because of all the confusion and so it took us longer to get there and so we lost time at the park. Ultimately we did get to the park and back from the park but it did mean quite a stressful morning and not one I would be rushing back to do again.
