Santa Cruz-La Laguna-Taganana

A very interesting combination that mixes Modernity, History and Nature. Very few excursions offer: Santa Cruz as Cosmopolitan city, San Cristobal de La Laguna, historical and World Heritage by UNESCO, the summits of Anaga with its spectacular viewpoints and the visit to the Taganana hamlet.

This excursion perfectly blends history, culture, and nature. Discover Santa Cruz de Tenerife, an authentic laurel forest in Anaga, and San Cristóbal de La Laguna: three must-see destinations in northern Tenerife.

Our first stop will be in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the island's capital. We'll explore its vibrant streets, which will lead us to some of its most outstanding landmarks, such as Plaza de España, Calle Castillo, and the Mercado de Nuestra Señora de África.

Next, we'll head to Anaga, where we'll visit a genuine laurel forest. This type of vegetation covered much of Europe millions of years ago and today is only found in a few places in the world, such as the Canary Islands. This natural environment will allow us to discover one of the islands' most characteristic ecosystems.

Here you will have free time to have lunch and enjoy the delicious Canarian cuisine at a local restaurant before continuing your visit.

To conclude the excursion, we will visit San Cristóbal de La Laguna, the first city founded in Tenerife after its conquest and a historical gem declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999. We will walk through its streets full of history and culture, discovering some of its most representative monuments, such as the Cathedral of La Laguna or the Plaza del Adelantado.

We will return to the south of the island after visiting some of the most beautiful places in Tenerife.

From May 1st, the itinerary will be Santa Cruz, La Laguna and the Laurisilva Forest in La Esperanza, where you can learn about the laurisilva, a type of vegetation that covered much of Europe millions of years ago and that today is only preserved in very specific places such as the Canary Islands, allowing you to discover one of the most characteristic ecosystems of the islands.
